Chinese families sees families as a whole, it is not perfect if any of the pieces is lost. And this traditional festival of Moon-cake Festival helps all the families in China to understand the uneasiness of all the family members being together and keep taking care of each other. In order to raise me up, the sacrifice of parents and other family members are huge. Since I was a kid, I was always taught to be respectful to the family, and be thankful. And also because of the unwillingness to the husband, she chose to fly to the nearest place in the sky, which is the moon.ĭuring the Mid-autumn festival, family members will gather together to celebrate the completeness of the family, and at the same time, to commemorate the Chang E’s action of sacrifice for the family. This bright moon symbolized the union of a family and it required the celebration of watching the moon at night with all the family members. On this date, the moon is always the roundest and the biggest in the whole year in China. It is a festival that not only means about the delicious moon-cakes that we enjoy. September 27th in 2015, is the date of the Mid-autumn festival, which is also called Moon-cake festival, in Chinese tradition. Since I really look into the festival itself, most of the Chinese traditional festivals contains a story that affects the family traditions. However I enjoyed the food and environment of the celebrations. I have never understand about the real meaning and story behind this festival when I was young. Chinese festivals are holidays any Chinese children enjoyed and expected. When we were only six years old, the expectation for a festival is been out of school because of the holiday.
